Academic & Technical Interests

My academic journey is deeply rooted in the transformative fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, where I explore the intersection of theoretical knowledge and practical application. I am particularly drawn to how intelligent systems can learn, adapt, and solve complex problems that were once thought to be exclusively human domains.

In the realm of Software Development, I focus on building robust, scalable solutions that can handle real-world complexity. My interest extends to Intelligent Systems Design, where I study how to architect systems that can reason, learn from data, and make autonomous decisions. This naturally leads me to Applied AI Solutions—taking cutting-edge research and translating it into practical applications that create tangible value for users and organizations.

Through coursework, projects, and self-directed learning, I continuously deepen my understanding of neural networks, deep learning architectures, and the ethical considerations that come with deploying AI systems at scale. My goal is to contribute to the next generation of intelligent technologies that are both powerful and responsible.

Leadership & Communication

My journey in public speaking and leadership began during my time as a Toastmasters Member in Singapore, where I honed my ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity and conviction. This experience taught me that effective communication is not just about speaking well—it's about connecting with your audience, understanding their perspective, and inspiring action.

A defining moment in my speaking career came when I achieved 1st Place at the International Area Level Speech Contest. This achievement reinforced my belief that preparation, authenticity, and the ability to tell compelling stories are fundamental to impactful communication. Whether presenting technical concepts to peers, explaining project outcomes to stakeholders, or sharing ideas in collaborative settings, I bring the same level of preparation and passion.

These experiences have equipped me with strong communication and presentation skills that extend beyond formal speaking engagements. I understand how to break down complex technical concepts into digestible insights, facilitate productive discussions, and lead teams through ambiguity. In technical roles, this translates to better documentation, clearer code reviews, and more effective cross-functional collaboration.

Music & Performance

As a rock guitarist and active member of my college band, music has become an integral part of my identity and personal development. The stage has taught me lessons that directly translate to my professional life—particularly around collaboration, composure under pressure, and the art of practice and iteration.

Performing regularly at college culturals and events has sharpened my ability to work seamlessly within a team. In a band, every member must listen, adapt, and contribute their part while staying attuned to the collective rhythm. This mirrors the collaborative dynamics of software development, where individual contributions must harmonize with the team's goals and the project's requirements.

Perhaps most importantly, performing live has cultivated my stage composure—the ability to remain calm, focused, and adaptable when things don't go as planned. Whether it's a technical glitch during a performance or an unexpected bug in production code, I've learned to maintain clarity of thought and execute solutions under pressure. This resilience, combined with strong collaboration skills, makes me effective in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where both individual excellence and team synergy are essential.

Creative Pursuits

As a member of the College Photography Club, I've discovered a passion for visual storytelling that complements my technical work. Photography teaches me to see patterns, composition, and narrative—skills that enhance how I approach user interface design, data visualization, and presenting technical work.

Through the lens, I've learned to appreciate the importance of perspective, attention to detail, and the ability to capture moments that tell a larger story. This creative outlet provides balance to my analytical work and reminds me that great technology is not just functional—it should also be intuitive, beautiful, and meaningful to those who use it.
